History of Peoplesafe
Skyguard was founded in 2001 by police officers looking to protect victims of domestic abuse. The Send for Help Group owned by brothers James and Will Murray acquired Skyguard in 2010 with the vision to continue working with police constabularies and expand to also protect people working alone. This family-run business soon grew with two further acquisitions: Guardian24 in 2014 and Rocksure Systems in 2017.
In 2018, the business was acquired by private equity company, ECI, who invested in the growth and development of the business and its people. This included an office move in 2019 from tired offices in Tolworth to our new modernised offices in Epsom, which hosts our state-of-the-art Alarm Receiving Centre.
In 2020, we relaunched as Peoplesafe. A new executive committee was introduced to the business in 2020/2021, along with new initiatives and innovative technological improvements which have helped to shape the employee safety industry.
Since our relaunch, we’ve formed partnerships with key organisations, launched new technologies, and continued to expand through acquisitions, including Safe Shores Monitoring and Ok Alone, which has extended our presence into North America.
These initiatives, along with our ongoing commitment to innovation, have solidified our position as the industry leader.
