Peoplesafe CEO Appointed Chair of BSIA Lone Working Group

Posted: 20 Oct, 2020.

The British Security Industry Association (BSIA) has appointed Naz Dossa, Chief Executive of lone worker technology specialists Peoplesafe, as Chair of the Lone Working Group.

The group focuses on the key issues surrounding the safety of the six million workers in the UK who already operate in isolation for some or all of their role. Changes to working practices in response to the Covid-19 pandemic mean many more people will now be required to work alone or without direct supervision, creating additional challenges and health and safety requirements for organisations, from safeguarding and risk assessment to personal safety technology. The working group will continue to ensure a coherent industry-wide approach to the guidance and issues surrounding this vital area.

“I am delighted to continue Peoplesafe’s long standing work with the BSIA and to be able to lead the lone working group during such an important time for the industry. The Coronavirus crisis has mandated an unprecedented change in working practices and lone working procedures must now be high on many organisations’ priority lists.

I look forward to working with colleagues from across the professional security industry to coordinate our approach to ensure more organisations understand the risks of lone working and are better prepared to support their employees in all working environments.”
