Travelsafe combines highly developed technology with a professional emergency response team, who can get police to the scene of an emergency in just 4 minutes to provide protection and support to anyone whenever they travel.
Travelsafe is an effective, instantly rolled-out personal safety solution, enabling users to feel safe whether they’re on public transport, driving, cycling, walking, or taking a taxi. Hybrid employees can feel better protected wherever they work and workers on the move can record their journeys at any time of day.
For a growing number of employees, personal safety is an everyday concern that is not limited to working hours. With 75% of employees worrying about personal safety when travelling for business and 69% concerned about personal safety on the commute, Travelsafe has been designed to offer 24/7 protection and reassurance, whether commuting, travelling for business or socialising with friends and family. Supported by Peoplesafe’s state-of-the-art Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), Travelsafe offers a professional response to incidents around the clock via the ARC’s expertly trained controllers, who can get help in an emergency faster than calling 999.
Similar to a journey planner app, users input their starting point, destination and select how they’re travelling, and Travelsafe will calculate their estimated journey time, setting an automated alarm for their projected arrival. Users also have the option to schedule regular welfare check-ins throughout the journey for added peace of mind. These notifications ask for confirmation that everything is ok and, if at any point, the response is ‘no’, or there’s a repeated failure to respond, an SOS alarm is immediately raised to the ARC.
With all problem-free journeys, the timer is cancelled once the destination is within a certain radius. Should the journey take longer than expected, users are prompted to extend the timer (if safe to do so). In the event that the journey time expires, they fail to reach their destination and there is no response to repeated prompts or calls from the app, an SOS alarm is raised instantly, with real time details of the journey shared to the ARC.
