Peoplesafe Launches Industry-First Integration with Apple Crash Detection
Peoplesafe is excited to introduce the industry’s first integration of Apple’s Vehicle Crash Detection technology into our personal safety app*.
This pioneering development is made possible through our strong relationship with Apple, allowing us to offer this potentially life-saving feature to our users. With this integration, the Peoplesafe app seamlessly works with Apple’s Vehicle Crash Detection on iPhone and Apple Watch. In the event of a severe crash, the device uses advanced sensors to detect the collision and automatically calls emergency services while alerting Peoplesafe’s 24/7 Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) of the user’s location.
The incident is recognised as a crash, allowing us to provide a tailored response. Using Nexus profile information, our ARC team can liaise with emergency services to provide critical medical information, notify the user’s escalation contacts, and contact the user directly to confirm they’re receiving the assistance they need.
This new integration reinforces Peoplesafe’s position as a leader in personal safety innovation. By providing an additional layer of protection during critical moments, this development has the potential to save lives, reduce emergency response times and ensure users benefit from faster, coordinated assistance.
For employers, this feature is an invaluable tool in extending their duty of care towards employees on the road. Whether commuting, travelling between locations or making deliveries, organisations can now offer even greater peace of mind, knowing that in the event of a crash, employees will receive immediate assistance.
Will Solomon, Chief Technology Officer at Peoplesafe, comments:
We are constantly looking at new ways to innovate and improve Peoplesafe’s offering to ensure our enhanced safety measures cover more and more ground. We’re thrilled to be launching this integration, and we hope that it will continue our work to add an extra layer of protection to our users.”
