Proposed acquisition of Solo Protect

The planned acquisition of the global business of Solo Protect would combine Peoplesafe’s operations in the UK, US and Canada, with Solo Protect’s business in the US, UK and Europe .

This acquisition will bring together two respected workforce safety companies with complementary technology, customer service and industry expertise, which will enable us to offer every customer a wider range of products and services, including Solo Protect’s proprietary range of devices and Peoplesafe’s award-winning Nexus platform and mobile app.

There is no immediate change to the protection we provide for your workers every day. Over time we expect the acquisition to enable us to increase our investment in development of new products and services, enhance our levels of customer service and efficiency as we benefit from learnings across both businesses. It will also increase our offering of pan-European and global solutions. 

The completion of the acquisition is subject to a review by the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) based on feedback from customers and suppliers to the market, in line with the CMA’s common practice for transactions of this nature.

This process is likely to take a couple of months and we will provide updates as it progresses.
