MySOS in action
Engineer Attacked
An engineer was verbally and physically assaulted by a customer during a home visit. The engineer activated an SOS alarm, prompting immediate police dispatch. The alarm controller followed protocol, contacting the engineer’s manager while awaiting police arrival. Police arrived within five minutes and the situation was resolved without injury.
Social Worker Abused
A social worker faced verbal abuse from a neighbour during a home visit. Feeling unsafe, they discreetly activated an alarm. The alarm controller called the social worker, gathered details, and dispatched police with precise location and risk information. Police arrived within 10 minutes and resolved the situation.
Stranded in Snow
A utilities engineer was stranded in the snow with no mobile signal. Using a Peoplesafe device, they activated an SOS alarm and connected to the ARC. The controller used the engineer’s Nexus profile to locate family and provide their precise location via What3Words. The ARC remained on the line with the engineer until help arrived.
