The MicroGuard is so small and lightweight, it can be carried conveniently and discreetly in a variety of different ways, including in an ID badge holder, on a pendent, on a keyring or in a belt holster.

User Stories

Attempted Suicide

A hotel worker raised an alarm believing that a guest was attempting to take their own life. The Controller gained the relevant information to be able to call the ambulance and remained on the line while the user gained access to the room. It turns out the guest had attempted to take their life and the user accessed the room in the nick of time.

Broom Attack

A user activated their alarm as they were being attacked by a customer with a broom. It was quite difficult to get the user’s attention due to the commotion in the background, however, the Controller managed to get the police on-site as soon as possible. The user thanked the Controller for her assistance and later laughed about the situation.

Dementia

A member of the public activated the user’s device which was around his neck, as the user was walking on the street trying to locate his father’s house. The user suffered from dementia and the member of the public took the user home whilst the Controller called the escalation contacts to advise of the situation.

Elderly Fall

An elderly user had fallen down the stairs and could not get up. It was very difficult to communicate with him as he was confused and very hard of hearing. The Controller called an ambulance, contacted the user’s family members and kept the user updated at every step, staying on the line until help arrived.
