Peoplesafe Achieves ISO 14001 Recertification
Peoplesafe is pleased to announce the successful recertification of our ISO 14001 Environmental management systems accreditation. This achievement highlights our ongoing commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices, forming a key part of our broader ESG strategy.
Following a thorough independent external audit, the auditor confirmed our ongoing compliance with ISO 14001 standards and recommended us for re-certification. We also received positive feedback highlighting a “high level of evidence to support compliance” and an “effective overall framework to support continual improvement.”
Notably, our ESG strategy was praised for driving meaningful improvements in our environmental performance.
What is ISO 14001?
ISO 14001 is a globally recognised standard that outlines the requirements for an effective environmental management system (EMS). Ithelps organisations to manage their environmental impact, improve performance, and embed sustainable practices into everyday operations. The standard provides a clear framework for setting up, maintaining, and continually improving an EMS.
ESG Commitments
This ISO 14001 recertification directly aligns directly with our ESG strategy, which is built around five pillars: Safety, Sustainability, Social, Staff, and Security. Within our Sustainability pillar, we’ve pledged to reduce our environmental impact, with the goal to achieve net-zero emissions by 2030.
Some initiatives driving this commitment include:
- Reducing plastic and unnecessary packaging
- Promoting public transport and low-emission commuting
- Improving office energy efficiency and waste reduction
- Partnering with suppliers who share our environmental values
What This Means for Our Customers
By renewing our ISO 14001 certification, earning the EcoVadis Sustainability Committed Badge in June 2025, and maintaining WEEE registration, we’re showing our customers that environmental responsibility is prioritised within all areas of our operations.
Choosing Peoplesafe means selecting a supplier that can help you demonstrate your own commitment to environmental responsibility throughout your supply chain and contribute to your own sustainability reporting.
ISO 14001 has encouraged us to identify areas of improvement in our environmental performance which, in turn, has led to more streamlined and efficient processes. We are committed to environmental responsibility and have a robust system already in place to manage and continuously improve our environmental performance. This translates into reduced risk, enhanced reputation, and a more sustainable supply chain for our customers.
It shows that we’re not only meeting standards but actively improving the way we manage our environmental impact.”
