How To Identify Lone Workers

Knowing who your lone workers are and the tasks they’re completing can help you to manage the risks they face. Use this checklist to identify any employees you have working alone:

  • Those entering client premises or homes (e.g. electrician)
  • Those working with the public (e.g. estate agent)
  • Those working in different areas of the same workspace (e.g. different levels of a construction site)
  • Those working in remote areas (e.g. tree surgeon)
  • Those travelling for work (e.g. gas engineer)
  • Those working outside normal working hours (e.g. cleaner)
  • Those working from home
